Nikki Cohoo, owner of Nikkita.co, is a design and branding consultant who loves collaborating with writers, artists, and creative entrepreneurs to solve design problems in a way that matches a client’s style and personality. Her designs tend to have a touch of the handmade to them because she believes that just because something is digital doesn’t mean it has to be cold.
Nikki’s passion is working with other creative professionals to imbue their business collaterals with the vision that makes their work unique. She loves working with creatives to establish a beautiful and personable web presence, and equipping them with the tools to manage their site once it’s up and running.
Always seeking adventure, Nikki seems to find herself somewhere new every chance she gets. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking in 2007 from Memphis College of Art and after the completion of an MFA from Bowling Green State University in May 2011, Nikki moved to Columbus, Ohio, with her husband and dog, where she worked as a communications director and managing editor while developing her own business in her spare time.Since 2010 Nikki has been the online editor for Black Ocean, and has recently taken on in-house design including typesetting for recent and forthcoming titles.
After the birth of her daughter in 2013, Nikki’s family returned to their native Michigan and bought a home in Ferndale. Nikki’s excited to settle in and explore the culture and creative community in Metro Detroit.
