FAQs. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is the SheHive woman-only?
A: Yes. Through a lifetime of training, women instinctively and unconsciously step back when men are in the room - moderating their words and watching for signs of discomfort so they can rush to soothe hurt feelings. SheHive events are designed to offer respite from the pressure — and, often, trauma — wrought by this type of social conditioning, allowing significantly female-identified individuals to put their own experiences front and center.
Q: Is there an age limit? Can I bring my kids?
A: We love your kids just like we love our own, but we want to ensure that the SheHive is a safe space where all women can talk freely. Unless otherwise noted, all of our workshops are designed for adults only.
Q: Can I pay at the door?
A: We require advance ticket purchases to secure your spot at all events. This helps your facilitator properly prepare for your attendance and provides us with necessary contact information should we need to cancel an event for any reason.
Q: What time should I arrive for workshops/events?
A: We open 15 minutes before class begins for in-person events. Online events begin at the exact start time. The SheHive reserves the right to turn away attendees if their late arrival will disrupt an event. Refunds will not be made for those denied entry due to late arrival.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: Refunds are available for most events if requested at least 7 days prior to event start. See each event listing for details.
Q. Why do you charge for your classes?
A. We believe in the value of fair exchange and are unabashed in our belief that women deserve to be compensated for their time and talent. Creating a community that is financially solvent and rewards the contributions of our coaches and facilitators helps us create world-class content and allows us to make an even greater impact in our community.
Q. Do you ever offer discounts / free classes?
A. Free or donation-only classes are typically offered a few times a month. The SheHive also offers a variety of free and paid resources to meet the needs of our community. Our newsletter and blog offer a plethora of free content on personal and professional development, spirituality, relationships and women’s issues. A low-cost subscription to exclusive content is also available on SheHive LIVE.
Q: Do you do private workshops?
A: Yes, we love private parties! Please visit our Private Space Rentals page for details.
Q: Can we rent the SheHive space?
A: Yes. Please visit our Private Space Rentals page for details.
Q. I want to teach at the SheHive. How do I make that happen?
A. We take the connections and learnings that happen here very seriously and are committed to carefully vetting our facilitators/instructors before showcasing them at the SheHive. Vetting generally takes place one of two ways:

A. We take the connections and learnings that happen here very seriously and are committed to carefully vetting our facilitators/instructors before showcasing them at the SheHive. Vetting generally takes place one of two ways:
- Get involved! Most of our facilitators have been found within the SheHive community. Come out to the SheHive, participate in our current offerings and become part of the community. Once you have had a chance to experience the space and the community, feel free to reach out to any of the KeyHolder team to discuss how you can get involved as a future facilitator/instructor!
- Showcase your work! If you are currently teaching or facilitating elsewhere, we’d love to come to one of your events to determine if your programming would be a good fit at the SheHive. You can send invitations our office manager, Lisa, at hello@theshehive.com, subject line: “Workshop for SheHive consideration.”
