Carly Podzikowski earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Oakland University. With an open mind, she entered the workforce testing her caring passion for helping people of all ages and abilities. Her curious nature landed her working with children on the autism spectrum, youth day camps and after school activities, adult recreation wellness programming, and senior wellness coordination. Carly has spent over 10 years in the public sector with various municipalities in Oakland and Macomb Counties.
In recent years, Carly learned that she has Relapse Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS). Through self-education and advocation, connecting with people who have MS, storytelling through writing, and living authentically, she has learned to thrive with this chronic illness – thanks in large part to her participation in a wonderful clinical trial for now-FDA approved Ocrevus!
Carly loves connecting with people on deeper levels over LOTS of good coffee (or a craft brew) about the real stuff: Emotional Intelligence, Clifton StrengthFinder results, Myers Briggs (she’s an INFJ), all forms of art, books and podcasts.
Carly believes vulnerability is contagious. Her favorite quote is, “Don’t be ashamed of your story, it will inspire others.” – Unknown.
