Hello, SheHive! I'm Dr. Corinne Rogers, a licensed psychologist, and I've been with the amazing SheHive for about two seasons now. I couldn't love this place more! And I'm excited to bring more of my professional expertise to a Sunday Seminar next month, so I’m writing to you today to tell you a little about it.
My private practice focuses on working with people who struggle with binge-eating and other overeating challenges. This work is also personal to me - I am a recovering food-user who continues to work and hone my own self-care routines.
A few years back, while in session with a client who struggled with overeating, she looked at me, sighed and said...
"I think, for this week, I'm just going to try and stop eating like an asshole."
I laughed so hard that tears rolled down my checks. The sentiment has stuck with me ever since.
Recently I’ve been exploring innovative ways of finding food plans that work best for different clients. I’ve also been focusing more on my own health - I want to feel better. You know what I’ve discovered? It’s easier to eat like an asshole!
It takes work to make healthy choices and focus on making our bodies stronger and resilient to disease and aging.

In this half-day seminar I’ll share the latest research on food and health and share the many wonderful things I've learned, tested and tried during my 20+ years of working on myself and with my private practice clients. I'll distill the best-of-the-best and I'll leave out the bullshit. (And in case you haven’t already figured it out, I might curse a little while doing so.)
We’ll explore emotional eating, how to combat cravings using mindfulness, laughter and real-world solutions. We will also have some fun, taste some food together, move a little, make some goals and most importantly, start uncovering our inner badasses!
