How do you stand up for what you believe in when you don't know who - or what - to believe?
In season 5 of Life on the Other Side of Should, we're focusing on living life in a time of total ambiguity. How do you manage the stress of living a normal life when when nothing is, quote/unquote, normal. What do you do when everything is up in the air, when the goal posts are constantly moving and when all your old tools and coping mechanisms are be tested to the max?

In season 5, episode 1, we focus on the question: How do you stand up for what you believe in when it's hard to know what - or who - to believe?

Joining us for the discussion are SheHive board member and Village of Franklin Council member, Pam Hansen, and SheHive Founding member and Michigan State Senator, Rosemary Bayer. As women in the political field, and simply as women, both Pam and Rosemary have vast experience in learning how to stand up for what they believe in in the face of adversity.

This embodied knowledge of me being connected to all women in history who had also given birth and how powerful that could be got me through my birth… and we can all get there.
In Season 4 of Life on the Other Side of Should, we are highlighting the collective wisdom of the SheHive. Each week you’ll hear from one of our community members that dared to answer a question we posed on our Facebook group, “What topic could you talk about passionately for 17 1/2 minutes with preparing?”

In Episode 14, Cara Rossi joins us to talk about natural childbirth.

A freshman at Kalamazoo College, Cara joined a women’s group where reproductive rights and justice were a hot topic of discussion. The conversations focused on abortion and birth control - important subjects, for sure - but not the whole story. Cara also wanted to learn about reproductive rights and justice for women who wanted to give birth. It led her on the start of a long journey to learn more about medicalization of childbirth and how she could do more to support women who wanted to be mothers.

In Episode 13, Cara Kennedy joins us to talk about personal finance for women.

Cara Kennedy is a professional Civil Engineer who has recently undertaken a new "hobby" of real estate investing. Cara believes that personal finance is something that everyone can learn and “It’s only scary because we don’t talk about it.”

​In Episode 12, Angela Zangarola joins us to talk about the Wim Hof Method - a quick hack she discovered after years of research on stress relief.

You might know Angela as our financial and divorce expert at the SheHive, but she is also a self-proclaimed "average woman trying to get through daily life." Desperately searching for a way to manage stress, Angela found sanctuary in meditation - but didn’t have enough time for a regular practice. Years of research finally led her to the Wim Hof method - a quick hack to tackle stress.
