Grab your girlfriends and celebrate friendship this February Galentine’s Day has become a popular fictional holiday for women to celebrate with their girlfriends, stemming from the popular NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation. Created by Amy Poehler’s character, Leslie Knope, the holiday takes place every year on Feb. 13 in celebration of female friendship. Even if you’re not a fan of the show, the holiday a great excuse for a night out with your closest friends. Here are just a few ways to celebrate this month. Celebrate Galentine’s Day with Alex and Ani: This free Parisian-themed celebration of love and friendship will feature a selfie station, treats, and a social media contest with a chance to win a prize form Alex and Ani.
